Obit of Earl Adamson Dated in by hand in ink as July 21, 1946?. Newspaper unknown, but probably the Johnston City Progress Earl Adamson Dies After Long Illness Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon for Earl R. Adamson, 51, who died Saturday morning at the Veterans hospital in Danville, where he had been a patient for the past four years. Prior to that he was a patient at Jefferson Barracks, Mo. The services were conducted at the Washington Ave. Baptist church with Rev. Homer Young in charge, and burial was in the city cemetery with the American Legion, Guy Foil commander, in charge. Mr. Adamson was a barber by occupation and was employed at the William Morris' shop at the time he became ill following a stroke. He was a veteran of World War 1; he was a member of the American Legion and Odd Fellows of this city. Besides his wife, Myrtle, of this city, he is survived by three brothers, John and Harry Adamson of Johnston City; Leonard Adamson of Maywood; five sisters Mrs. Hermus Reed of this city; Mrs. Ed Elders, Mrs. Horace Powell, Mrs. Orville Hill and Mrs. Grover Dillon, all of Maywood.
