Obit of Edgar Atwood Dated as Nov 24, 1957. Newspaper unknown Edgar Atwood Rites to be Tuesday Edgar Atwood, 68, 1112 Washington Ave., Johnston City, died at 12:15 am Sunday in Marion Memorial hospital. A retired miner he was a member of the United Mine Workers of America and the Woodmen of the World lodge at Johnston City. He was born at Spillertown, Mar 24, 1889. He leaves his wife, the former Bessie Hunter; daughter Miss Ethel L. Atwood of Elgin; son Charles E. Atwood of Johnston City; brother Roy Atwood, Spillertown; sister Ida Dillon, Gary Ind., and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2 pm Tuesday in Murman-Wilson Funeral Home of Johnston city where friends may call. Burial will be in Lake Creek Cemetery east of Johnston City.
