Obit of Frank Butcher Dated in ink as Sept 22, 1951. Newspaper unknown Frank Butcher, Former Resident, Dies at Herrin Frank Butcher, 74, a former resident of this city, died Saturday night at his home near the Herrin cemetery. He had been ill two years and recently suffered another stroke. Funeral services were conducted at the Herrin Second Baptist church Tuesday afternoon by Rev. A.N. Sanders and burial was in the Herrin cemetery. Mr. Butcher a retired coal miner, was born April 7, 1877 in Jackson County a son of William and Eliza Butcher. He had lived near Herrin 24 years. He was a member of the Second Baptist church and Local Union 2678 He leaves his wife Ethel, and a son Charles of Howell Mich.
