Obit of Ruel Wayne Barham Dated in ink as July 7, 1949. Newspaper is unknown but probably Johnston City Progress or Marion newspaper. Tetanus From Foot Injury Is Cause Of Death Ruel Wayne Barham, 17, of Johnston City died at 9:30 this morning from tetanus poisoning in the Herrin hospital after only three days of illness. Tetanus was caused from a cut on his foot a month ago. Young Barham was a member of the First Baptist Church in Johnston City, president of the Young People's training union and active in various departments of the church. He was a Junior high school student. The body has been returned to Johnston City and is at the Hathaway Funeral Home. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Barham, 906 Washington Street, Johnston City; a brother Troy in Johnston City and a sister Wanda, at home. Funeral arrangements today were incomplete
