Obit of Sarah Evaline Bell Dated in ink as Oct 14, 1953. Newspaper: The Daily American, West. Frankfort Illinois Mrs. Sarah Evaline Bell died at her home, 805 North Monroe Street in Johnston City, at 8 pm Wednesday. She would have been 94 years of age on Nov 24. Mrs. Bell, who had been bedfast for the past six years, was the widow of James Bell, Johnston City carpenter, who died one year ago. They had resided in that city for 50 years. Mrs. Bell was a native of Ewing. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Tressa Clark, teacher at Washington grade school in Johnston City, who made her home with her mother and a son Enoch Bell of Benton. Six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren also survive. The body is lying in state at the family home, where funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Saturday. Burial will be in Rose Hill cemetery at Marion. The family has asked that no flowers be sent.
