That section was visited by a severe electric storm which wrought much damage 
to property at Christopher. John Hutchinson, a well-known farmer, 60 years 
old, was struck by lightning and his shoes, hat and clothing were torn from 
his body, which was burned almost beyong recognition. He died instantly.
