Obit of Noah Murrah Dated in ink as Jan 18, 1942. Newspaper unknown but probably Johnston City or Marion. Funeral services for Noah L. Mujrrah, 69, were held at 2 pm Wednesday afternoon. The services were conducted at the residence at 1008 Washington Avenue by Rev. Homer Young and Elder C.M. Weaver. Burial was made in the city cemetery. Casketbearers were Ben Perrine, Orville Kelley, Hubert Keuper, O.C. Baiar, R.C. Patterson and John Newton. Although his health had been failing for the past two years, only four weeks ago did his condition become critical. He passed away early Sunday morning. Mr. Murrah was the son of William and Sally Ann Felts Murray, pioneer residents of Williamson county. He was born and reared near this city, having spent his entire life in this community. He was a member of Modern Woodmen of America, Royal Neighbors and Security Benefit Lodges. He was for many years on the local fire deptartment and had served as alderman in ward three. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Annie Newton Murrah, one son, Ray of the US Army, former post office cleark and three daughters, Mr.s O. L. Seets of Ridgeway and Misses Opel and Lillian Murrah, teachers in grade schools.
