Obit of Dora Peterson Dated in ink as Feb 17, 1956. Newspaper unknown but probably Johnston City or Marion newspapers. Former Resident of Johnston City Dies in Florida Mrs. Dora G. Peterson, 94, former Johnston City resident, died at her home in Miami, Fla. at 4 am Friday. She had been ill three weeks. Born in Williamson County, south of Johnston City, Mrs. Peterson resided in that area until 25 years ago when she went to Miami. She was the widow of Alonzo Peterson, who died in 1936. Survivors are four sons, Birt Peterson, Johnston City, and John, Ben and Frank Peterson all of Miami; four grandchildren, two great grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. The body will lie in state at the Murman-Wilson funeral home in Johnston City after 4 pm Sunday and will be taken at 1 pm Monday to the First Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at the church at 3 pm Monday. Rev. Charles R. Walker, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, near Marion. (**Maiden name was Hunter)
