Obit of Cora Shinall Dated in ink as May 28, 1941. Newspaper: The Daily America, West Frankfort, Franklin Co. IL Cora Shinall, Johnston City, Dies in Herrin Mrs. Cora Shinall, 61, died at 7:15 pm last night in Herrin hospital about two hours after she had been admitted to the hospital and underwent major surgery. She had been ill since Sunday. Miss Shinall since 1916 had lived in Johnston City with her brother-in-law and his wife Mr. and Mrs. Bert Wilkins, 1101 Gent Street. She was a member of the First Baptist church and Rebeckah lodge, of which she was past noble grand, in Johnston City. She is survived by three sisters, Mrs. T.J. McGough, Johnston City; Mrs. Albert McCormack, Kuttawa, Ky.; Mrs. Henry Sizemore, Hazard, Ky.; two brothers, Logan and Albert Shinall of Fredonia, Ky. The body is lying in state at the Wilkins home. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 1 o'clock from the First Baptist church in Johnston City with Rev. S.M. Foulson, pastor, in charge. Interment will be in the Johnston City Cemetery.
