Redfern who married Lucinda Ballard in Greene Co IL on 5 May 1884. BRICKEY-MURRAY-THOMPSON
I have a book in progress on early Illinois families
connected to the Brickey family. James H. Brickey (1819-1901)

lived in the same area in the 1860s and 1870s. John Thompson (1759-1843),
Revolutionary veteran from Botetourt County, VA and wife Winifred
Brickey, settled in Greene County near Barrow before 1830, as did John's
brother William Thompson who was married to Temperance Brickey.
I desire
correspondence from interested descendants. Thanks.

Mrs.
Clarice Dameron-Lichtenberg - Why is Pinetree Cemetery, formerly
Carriger-Martin Cemetery just outside of Patterson, Illinois... not listed
with the other Greee County Cemeteries? The land for the original Carriger-Martin
cemetery was donated by Elizabeth Carriger Martin and her husband Reuben
Martin upon the death of their infants. The cemetery name was later changed
to Pinetree Cemetery. Various stories regarding the name change have been
told to me and I am not sure which one is correect. Do you know the real
reason for the name change? Will appreciate your including the very large
and well maintained Pinetree Cemetery where many of my relatives and ancestors
are buried, including my parents, Cora Carriger Dameron & Leo Alonzo
Dameron. I am a direct descendant of the Carriger's, and the Allens that
ara buried in Pinetree and Patterson/Wilimington Cememtery.I would appreciate
your response and perhaps updating and inclusion of the Pinetree Cemetery......Sincerely,
Mrs. Clarice Dameron-Lichtenberg

They lived in Green County from 1853 to 1859, when they moved to Macoupin
County. I would be happy to correspond with anyone working on this line.
I am also in the process of retyping the diary of my ancestor, Aaron Lane
Lanning, who served in the 122nd Illinois Volunteer Infantry during the

until his death in 1934 in Kansas. After the war he moved his family from
Illinois to Kansas in 1867. I would be happy to share this diary, as well.
It includes a number of references about school from his early days in
the county. It also includes a number of references about many of those
with whom he served. Thank you.
