Obituary of Dr Benjamin Flannigan, Greene County, Illinois Contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives by: Mary Hillman Dr. Benjamin Flannigan, an aged dentist of Carrollton, died at his home in that city, Tuesday afternoon, Sept 3rd., 1912. Some months ago he had a stroke of paralysis and this was followed by dropsy, death resulting. Dr. Flannigan was born Feb. 4, 1841 in Baltimore, Md. coming to Carrollton in 1855, since which time he has practiced dentistry. He and Miss Clare Nuber were marrried in 1892. She survives and also their two daughters, Virginia and Catherine. Dr. Edw. Flannigan of St. Louis, is his only surviving brother, and Mrs. Virginia Meyers of Baltimore, his only sister. Funeral services were conducted at two o'clock, Thursday afternoon, at the M. E. Church.
