Buck, Archie Edward - Mazon Township is the home of some of the most 
substantial farmers of Grundy County and their well-cultivated acres reflect 
credit upon them and their section.  One of the men who has found it 
profitable to engage in agricultural pursuits is Archie Edward Buck, owner of 
100 acres of valuable land in Mazon Township.  He was born in Saratoga 
Township, in 1870, a son of Thomas and Elizabeth (Predaux) Buck.  Thomas Buck 
was born in Canada, and his wife was born in England, and they were brought to 
Grundy County in childhood.  After their marriage, they located in Saratoga 
Township, but are now living retired at Morris.  Their ten children were as 
follows:  Eliza; Albert; Nellie; Archie Edward; Alex and Andrew, who are 
twins; John; Josephine, who is deceased; Jessie; and Robert, who is also 
deceased.
