He located one mile east of the village of Mazon and there bought 160 acres of land. This property, he developed into a valuable farm, residing upon it until he sold it and bought 120 acres in the center of Mazon Township. Later on, he retired and made his home thereafter in the village of Mazon where he died October 8, 1877. On September 9, 1822, he married Eliza Sanford, and they had the following children: Cornelia, Albert, Edward, Michael, Zachariah, Lydia, Weltha, Jehiel, Clarinda. pages 836-837 Additional Comments: Source: History of Grundy County, Illinois, Chicago: Munsell Publishing Co.
