Miss Anna Dwyer was in Joliet Wednesday. Chas. O'Brien made a trip to Seneca Wednesday. Mrs. D. A. Henneberry was in Joliet Tuesday. Geo. Colleps visited friends in Chicago Sunday. Mrs. J. H. Pyle called on friends in town Monday. James Bardell visited friends in town Tuesday. R. E. Brady was in Chicago on business Thursday. Miss Eunice Ferguson was a Joliet visitor Monday. Mrs. C. E. Davis made a visit to Joliet Wednesday. Robert Carroll called on friends in Joliet Monday and Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. William Coop visited in Chicago Saturday and Sunday. Mrs. W. Coop and Miss Mattie Colleps were in Joliet Wednesday. Dell Green and wife drove to Plainfield Wednesday to spend the day. William Hammet, of Joliet, spent Sunday with his sister, Mrs. Geo. Dean. Prof. Goldsberry went to Chicago Thursday evening and remained over Friday. Mrs. J. J. Brinckerhoff and children visited their relatives in Lockport Friday. Johnnie Walley, Chas. Tinder and Garnett Andrews drove to Joliet last Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Sage, of Chicago Heights, spent Sunday with relatives here. There was no school here Friday as the teachers had a holiday to visit the city schools. S. Roberts, of Joliet, visited old friends in and around Minooka, Saturday and Sunday. Mrs. F. L. Stratton and daughter, Lois, attended the theatre in Joliet Monday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Alex Coulehan and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Dwyer were in Chicago Monday. Alex Bell has had a porch built on in front of his house which makes a great improvement. Dennis Dougherty and friend, Miss Mills, of Chicago, spent Sunday here with friends and relatives. Mrs. Chris Neilsen and daughter Clara spent Saturday and Sunday with Mrs. C. G. Krogness in Joliet. Miss Alma Bell and two lady friends, of Chicago, spent Sunday with the former's parents and sisters here. Harry Thayer returned to Rock Island Monday evening after spending a week with his parents in this place. Winfield Brown and Miss Mattie Colleps attended the ball game in Chicago Wednesday afternoon between the nationals. Work has been commenced on the construction of the water works building, and operations will be pushed lively from this on until the plant and the pipe system is all completed. Miss Bessie Colleps left here Monday noon for Chicago and from there that evening for Iowa to spend the summer with relatives. Her sister Mattie accompanied her as far as Chicago.
