Miss May Shepley was in Joliet Thursday. Mrs. Chas. Dirst was a visitor to Joliet Thursday. Miss Maud Thayer visited her folks here over Sunday. Supervisor Daniel Hall transacted business in Joliet Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. P. Whalen and Essie Briscoe were in Joliet Thursday. George Templeton visited his sisters in Joliet Thursday and Friday. Matthew Shepley and wife spent Sunday with the former's parents here. Next Sunday evening at the M. E. church children's day exercises will be held. Mrs. DeWitt Shufelt, of White Willow, spent this week with her mother, Mrs. F. Stratton. Robt. Bradbury and wife and John Wilson attended the picnic at Rock Run Park Thursday. Misses Mattie Colleps and May Tinder spent Tuesday afternoon visiting friends in the country. M. L. and W. H. Kaffer have been absent for a few days on a business trip to Enid, Oklahoma. Quite a number from here attended the dance at Matthew Paul's in Troy Wednesday night. Miss Mertie Bell, of Chicago, came down Friday evening to witness the graduating of her sister, Grace E. Prof. Goldsberry went to Chicago Saturday morning where he has accepted a clerical position in an office. George Tinder and family, of Joliet, attended the graduating exercise Friday evening, returning home Saturday. Daniel Hooper and family, of Wilmington, spent a few days visiting his brother, G. I. Hooper and family in this place, returning home Monday. Miss L. Conley returned home Saturday afternoon to Morris, accompanied by her sister, Katherine, who was here to attend the graduating exercise. Chas. M. Tinder has gone to work in Hobbs' grocery store at Joliet and George Templeton is working in the Spot Cash grocery there. We wish success to both. Guy Ferguson, of Joliet, Will Ferguson, of Chicago, and Miss Edna Ferguson of White Willow attended the graduation of their sister, Eunice J., Friday evening. Mr. Amandus Neilsen and Miss Daisy E. Stearns, of Bird's Bridge, were united in marriage Wednesday, June 27. They will make their future home in Redmond's house in the north- western part of town. Rev. Father Joseph McMahon called on Theo. Krein at St. Joseph's hospital in Chicago Thursday and found him about the same, but his attendants expect a change for the better this week. His many friends here hope for his speedy recovery. The Minooka high school commencement exercises last Friday evening were exceedingly well rendered and the entire program was enjoyed by a very large audience. The graduates were four in number as follows: Chas. M. Tinder, Misses Grace E. Bell, Shirley A. Davis, and Eunice J.
