Frank Clark, of Joliet, was in town Saturday calling on friends. J. J. Brinkerhoff and wife attended Chautauqua at Dellwood Friday evening. Charles Tinder, who is from Joliet, spent Sunday with his mother here. Professor W. M. Goldsberry, of Chicago, spent Sunday with his parents here. M. L. Kaffer left Sunday evening for Oklahoma where he expects to purchase land. Mrs. Chas. E. Davis spent Wednesday in Chicago. Mrs. Frank Wallhaar(?), of Joliet, visited at the home of J. H. Murphey and family Sunday. N. J. Comerford returned home Monday evening from Michigan where he had been for some time. Foran Brothers have sold their stock of groceries and men's furnishings to R. Kettlewell, of Minnesota. Mrs. Frances Bly and sister, Miss Maryett Hunt, are spending the week with Mrs. Bly's daughter, Mrs. Dayton Hutchinson, in Elwood. Born, a son, July 26, to Mr. and Mrs. Charles O'Brien. The babe died a few hours after birth and was buried in Dresden cemetery Friday. Mrs. A. K. Knapp and Miss Mildred Fluent started Monday morning for Charles City, Iowa. They will go by way of the lakes to Duluth and from there to Charles City, where they will visit at Miss Fluent's home. Lawrence Coulehan, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Coulehan, of Troy, died at the parent's home last Thursday evening, July 26, 1906, aged 26 years, 3 months, 16 days. The decedent leaves besides the parents, four brothers and five sisters. The funeral took place from St. Mary's church here Sunday afternoon, with burial in Dresden cemetery. Prof. W. M. Goldsberry, who was principal of the Minooka public schools last year, was appointed to the superintendency of the Peotone, Ill., schools a few days ago. Peotone is one of the most progressive towns in Will County and about twice the size of Minooka.
