Grundy County, IL "Minooka News" September 27, 1906 Vol. 31, No. 39 James A. Baker of White Willow, is very sick. Miss Maryett Hunt is visiting with her brother, James Hunt, in Morris. Frank Clark, of Joliet, called on friends here Monday. Fred Weese, of Joliet, spent Monday at N. Weese's in this place. George Colleps has been suffering with a severe attack of neuralgia. Miss Katy McLean, of Chicago, visited Mrs. John Van Dolson over Sunday. Ray Hutton(?), of New Lenox, visited friends here the latter part of the last week. Mrs. Frances Bly went to Elwood Saturday where she will spend two weeks with her daughter, Mrs. Dayton Hutchinson. Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Murphey, of Joliet, visited at J. H. Murphey's home here Sunday. D. A. Henneberry attended the funeral of Mrs. William Flynn at Wilmington last Monday. Chas. M. Tinder, of Joliet, spent Saturday evening and Sunday with his mother, Mrs. Geo. Tinder Sr. Miss Melinda Scheibe, of Lockport, spent a few days of last week here with her sister, Mrs. J. J. Brinckerhoff. Supervisor Daniel Hall left last week for Brooklyn, New York, where he will visit his sister, Mrs. Pierce. The family of the late Mrs. Mary Cantwell wish to thank everyone who so kindly assisted during her illness and death. The entertainment given by Rev. J. Wesley Holland at the M. E. church last Friday evening was excellent but poorly attended. Robert Bradbury has ceased working at Frank Wilson's meat market and Alex Walstrom arrived from Michigan Monday to take the place. W. A. Thayer arrived home Monday from a trip to Oklahoma and says the country there looks good to him, altho he did not buy. He went as far south as Lawton and a train wreck prevented him from going west into the Texas pan handle.
