Miss Maud Thayer visited her parents here Saturday and Sunday. Mrs. Alex. Bell and Miss Lulu Bell spent last Saturday in Chicago. Mrs. F. Stratton and Miss Lois Stratton spent Saturday in Chicago. Miss May Shepley and Miss Shirley Davis are employed at Henley's book store in Joliet during the holiday season. The Chicago Telephone Company has rented the Krein property and the exchange is being moved. Mrs. and Mrs. Gwynne will occupy the rooms vacated by Mr. Whalen and family. The bazaar, supper and entertainment given by the young ladies of the M. E. church last Friday and Saturday was well attended. The funds are to go toward the furnace. The amount taken in was about $125. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Trowbridge, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Ward and Mrs. and Mrs. Clarence Churchill, Misses Mattie and Bessie Colleps and Robert Carroll attended the theatre in Joliet last Wednesday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Fletcher Dirst have moved into the M. L. Kaffer house which they purchased a short time ago. Mrs. Andrew Carroll and family will occupy the D. R. Hall rooms left vacant by Mr. Dirst. Mr. and Mrs. M.
