Edward BARRY transacted business in Morris Thursday. Walter GRUETT, of Chicago, visited his parents here Monday. Mrs. Frank WILSON was quite sick with tonsilitis last week. Dr. J. J. BRINCKERHOFF attended the Plainfield fair last week. Mrs. D. H. ANDREWS has been on the sick list the past week. A great many from here attended the Plainfield fair last week. Edward McEVILLY left Tuesday for the southern part of the state. Dr. J. J. BRINCKERHOFF made a professional visit to Joliet Friday. W. W. FERGUSON left Monday for Alberta, Canada, to see the country. John DAVIS was sick with tonsilitis last week and unable to attend school. Jeremiah KINSELLA, of Joliet, was in town Friday calling on kindred and friends. Several from this vicinity are attending the Will County fair in Joliet this week. Frank WILSON, wife and daughter Ruth attended the Plainfield fair Thursday. Miss Essie BRISCOE went to Chicago Friday evening returning home Sunday. Robert MILLER returned home Friday after a week's visit with Troy and Joliet friends. Miss Grace PYLE and Mrs. Oscar OSMON called on friends in this place last Wednesday. John MOAK's mother, of Mokena, was visiting Mr. MOAK and family here a few days last week. Frank MILLER and L. J. REED, who had been engaged in lathing a house in Mazon returned home Friday. Miss Luella TEMPLETON returned home Monday evening after a week's visit with her sisters in Joliet. N. J. COMERFORD and Martin and W. H. KAFFER were still on the mountain heights in Colorado at last reports. Both gangs of the Minooka C. R. I. & P. section men worked for a few days west of here near Marseilles last week. Miss Tessie McEVILLY returned home Wednesday morning from Morris where she had been visiting for a couple of weeks. Mrs. N. J. COMERFORD, accompanied by her daughter, Helen, went to Morris Tuesday where Miss Helen is attending the academy. Miss Ruth THAYER was sick a few days last week at W. A. THAYER's but is greatly improved and returned to her home in Joliet a few days ago. The party given by the O. E. S. at Masonic hall was largely attended. Prof. Wade EVERSOLL, of Joliet, furnished the music and all had a good time. Anslow BELL, of Maywood, visited friends and relatives here the past week. Mr. BELL is looking and feeling well and bids fair to be a centenarian. Mr. and Mrs. James DRUMGOOLE were in Minooka last week from the far west, receiving the glad hand of all acquaintances. They hail from Anaconda, Montana. Mr. and Mrs. Henry DWYER and Mr. and Mrs. Alex COULEHAN made a trip to the Plainfield fair in Frank BEITH's automobile last week. Mr. BEITH officiated as chauffeur and general overseer. Last Saturday evening Mr. and Mrs. Albert HEAP, Mr. and Mrs. William COOP, Mr. and Mrs. A. ROTH, Mr. and Mrs. C. A.
