Supervisor Daniel HALL was a Joliet visitor Monday. Miss Mattie COLLEPS attended the Jackson fair last Thursday. Grant McCOWAN, of Joliet, was a business visitor here Friday. W. A. CLARK and wife attended the fair in Jackson last Tuesday. Mr. HIGGINS, of Morris, is now tending bar for Edward BARRY. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas GOLDBERRY arrived here last Thursday evening. G. I. HOOPER made a flying trip up into Wisconsin Monday and Tuesday. Mrs. S. A. FERGUSON, son Roy and daughter Eunice were in Joliet Thursday. Rev. W. JAGGARD left Tuesday morning to attend conference at Freeport, Ill. Henry DEMPSEY remained home from Joliet high school Tuesday nursing a severe cold. Mrs. FOOTE, who has been very ill at the home of Edward PATTON, is somewhat improved. James PAUL returned home Saturday from Chicago where he had been spending a few days. William WALKER, of Chicago, was the guest of Dr. J. J. BRINCKERHOFF and family over Sunday. Frank KENNELLY, of Joliet, spent a few days visiting his father-in-law, I. J. KNIGHT and family. The Misses Frank and Lottie WATSON are spending a few days in Denver and other western places. Martin KAFFER arrived home last week from his western trip, having visited in Colorado and Kansas. William PATTEN and wife and Arthur HOWARD and wife are attending the State Fair in Springfield this week. Mrs. Frank MILLER and daughter, Garnett, returned home Sunday evening from Mazon where they had been visiting for several days. John and Eddie HOLT left Sunday evening for Springfield, accompanied by Attorney Louis LAGGER, of Joliet. They are visiting the State Fair. The M. E. church had a fine evening for the bazaar and a large number attended the supper. They realized a clear profit of about sixty dollars. A. M. WESTON, of Joliet, spent a day or two of this week with his wife, who has been at the home of her father, I. J. KNIGHT, here for the past few months.
