Miss Katherine McEVILLY was a visitor to Chicago Wednesday. Mrs. G. TINDER and Mrs. William COOP spent Saturday in Joliet. Mrs. Wm. BUCKLEY, of Joliet, spent Sunday with her parents here. William GEBHARDT, of Morris, visited friends in this place Tuesday. Mrs. E. B. TABLER was under the doctor's care for a few days but is better now. Charles WYETH, of Aurora, visited a few days last week with his sister, Mrs. R. NEWSAM. A few devotees of Fistiana from here attended the "fight" at LaSalle, Ill., Tuesday night. Miss Blanche LANGDON, of Joliet, spent last Sunday as a guest of Frank MILLER and family. A few from here attended a dance at Beubin WILLARD's home south east of Bird's Bridge last Friday evening. Postmaster C. A. TROWBRIDGE has commenced the remodeling and enlargement of his residence and will spend quite a neat sum on the improvement. Frank WILSON, the meat merchant, is breaking ground for the construction of a handsome residence.
