Charles TINDER and Walter NEILSEN were in Joliet Thursday. Bert HEAP and family visited friends in town over Sunday. Miss Mary CANTWELL was in Joliet Monday, also Mrs. Wm. PATTEN. Mrs. H. GORHAM and Miss Ethel PATTEN were in Joliet Saturday. Arthur HOWARD and wife spent Sunday with W. PATTEN and family. A. BELL, of Morris, is doing C. TROWBRIDGE's work for his new house. Mrs. W. A. CLARK and daughter, Hazel, were Chicago visitors Monday. Mrs. W. COOP and Miss Mattie COLLEPS were Chicago visitors Wednesday. Rev. and Mrs. LOWERY spent Friday in Joliet visiting their daughter and sons. James RUSHTON and Miss Anna THOMPSON spent Sunday with Miss CANTWELL. Miss Ethel PATTEN visited Miss Minnie SHEPLEY in Joliet a few days this week. Irving HOOPER spent a few days visiting his brother in Wilmington this week. Jay WIDNEY, wife and babe spent Sunday with DR. J. J. BRINCKERHOFF and family. N. J. COMERFORD, who is at the Battle Creek, Mich., Sanitarium, is improving slowly. The Chicago Telephone linemen are here this week putting in new lines through the country. Misses Jennie COULEHAN and Esther McEVILLY, of Joliet, spent Sunday with their parents. A number from here enjoyed the fishing on the banks of the Dupage and have had good luck. Officer BELL made an arrest Monday. The offender was a Joliet man who was drunk and disorderly. Mrs. Lottie HUTCHINSON, of Elwood, spent a few days here last week with her mother, Mrs. Frances BLY. Howard BRINCKERHOFF and Miss Bertha De PAVATER, of Lockport, visited Dr. J. J. BRINCKERHOFF and family Monday and Tuesday. Mrs. John BRINCKERHOFF, of Chicago, visited her son, Dr. J. J. BRINCKERHOFF, of this place for a few days last week and this week. Miss Kittie CONLEY, of Morris, visited her sister, Miss Lizzie CONLEY, here Friday. Miss Lizzie accompanied her home to Morris and will enjoy a week's vacation there. William FERGUSON, who has been attending the U. of C. in Chicago, studying pharmacy, completed his first year last week and came to visit his parents over Sunday. The marriage of Miss Pearl BARTLETT, of Chicago, and Mr. Charles BARGO, of Channahon, occurred in St. Mary's Catholic Church in this place Wednesday forenoon, April 27, 1906, at 11 o'clock, Rev. Father Joseph McMAHON officiating. The bride is a niece of Mrs. Jesse Bartlett DAVIS, the gifted Chicago singer, formerly of Morris, Ill. The groom is a prosperous Channahon farmer.
