HENNEBERRY spent last Wednesday in Chicago. Wm. KILLELEA, of Marseilles, called on friends here Saturday. Geo. A. THAYER, of Joliet, visited his parents here Saturday. Mrs. Thos. SHIELDS and son were visitors in Joliet Saturday. Miss Mildred WATSON visited with friends in Joliet Saturday. Elmer DRAINER(?) visited _____d H______ here a few days this week. Miss May SHEPLEY spent Tuesday and Wednesday with Joliet friends. Mrs. Wm. COOP and Miss Mattie COLLEPS were Joliet visitors Wednesday. Chas. TINDER visited a few days last week with his brother George in Joliet. Miss Elizabeth COOP, of Chicago, visited her parents in this place over Sunday. Miss Edna TEMPLETON returned home Sunday after spending a week with her sisters in Joliet. Miss Mayme KELLY, of S. Ottawa Street, Joliet, visited Mrs. Lizzie CARROLL and family here Sunday. Mrs. Geo. TINDER, Jr., and children, of Joliet, spent Sunday and the first of the week with relatives here. Robert CARROLL has bought a half interest in the O'BRIEN saloon and the partnership went into effect May 1st. Miss Mary CANTWELL left for Odell Saturday. She intends to make her future home with her sister in that place. There was no school in the intermediate room Monday as Miss L. CONLEY, the teacher, was ill and unable to teach until Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Alex. WALSTROM and baby are here from Michigan visiting relatives and friends for a week. They will return home Saturday. F. VanFALKENBERG, wife and children, also Miss Margaret DEMPSEY, all of Joliet, visited with the latter's mother, Mrs. M. DEMPSEY, here the first of the week. The members of the Minooka Lodge Knights of Pythias, have decided to erect a home for the lodge and have purchased a nice building lot just south of the KREIN property. A fine hall will be built thereon by the K. P. brethren, the size to be about 35x70 feet and two stories high. This will make a notable improvement in Minooka and the Sir Knights will be doing themselves and the town a good deal of credit by carrying the project through to a successful conclusion.
