CARROLL, of Chicago, visited relatives here this week. Misses Mattie COLLEPS and Ethel PATTEN were in Joliet Monday. Raymond DAVIS was home a few days last week visiting his parents. The young ladies who gave a dance last Friday evening were much pleased to see so many in attendance. The hall was packed and all reported a good time. Mr. and Mrs. John KINNEY announce the marriage of their daughter, Katherine Marie, to Mr. Melvin P. RILEY, of Chicago, to occur Saturday evening, June 23, 1906, Minooka, Ill. The announcements will say "at home after August 15, 1677 Grenshaw St., Chicago." While Jimmie BLAIN, of Channahon, was carrying water for the men that are working on the concrete bridge over the river near here a few days ago, he picked up a dynamite cartridge which exploded and blew off the thumb and two fingers on his left hand, and tore his thumb on the right hand.
