Deceased was born near Lisbon, Kendall county, April 4th, 1862. When but an infant his parents moved to the farm in Saratoga, where he grew to manhood, gaining with his years the respect and esteem of all with whom he came in contact. He was always strong and robust, never needing the attention of a physician until October last when health begain to fail and rapidly he declined. During his sickness he had every attention which loving hands could bestown. Three physicians from Morris, and Dr. Johnson, of Chicago, prescribed for him, but without avail. Latterly it was thought he was improving but the seal of death was upon him. He realized his situation, seemingly better than did those around him, and quietly passed away without a few of what the future might have in store for him. The funeral will take place at the family residence today, Thursday, at 1 o'clock, Rev. Irving of the Morris Baptist church, officiating. The remains will be interred in the East Morris cemetery. He leaves a father, mother, two brothers and two sisters. Into this family death enters for the first time. The sympathy of a large circle of friends goes out to the bereaved.
