The sad news reached here on Wednesday forenoon of the death of Mr. David 
Craig, of Wauponsee, which occurred at 12:30 a.m. of that day. Mr. Craig was 
83 years old last November and was born in Butler county, Ohio. He moved to 
Morris in 1864, making him one of the old settlers of this city. About two 
years ago his wife died at the old home residence, in this city, on the corner 
of Jefferson street, opposite the Congregational church, now owned by Mr. 
Denis Sattler, after which time he left for Indianapolis to reside with his 
nephew, D.C. Southard, moving back on his farm in Wauponsee with Mr. Southard 
last spring. The funeral will take place Friday morning at 10 o'clock from the 
M.E. church.
