She had been in poor health the past four years but her last sickness was since last Saturday night. No funeral arrangements had been completed this afternoon. Eliza MacAlpin was born July 3, 1851 in Inveresk, Scotland. She came to America in August, 1871, and the following year was united in marriage to John Duncan in Morris. He died 48 years ago yesterday. Mrs. Duncan was a member of the Presbyterian church. She devoted her time and attention to her home and family. During her half century spent here, she acquired many friends. Surviving her two children, Miss Catherine at home and Fred of East Washington street and two granddaughters, Anna Mae Kausch of Aurora and Elizabeth Kausch of Morris. There are also several nephews and nieces. Four sons and one daughter preceded Mrs. Duncan in death, James, Thomas, George, William and Mrs. William Kausch. Rites Today For Mrs. Eliza Duncan Funeral services for Mrs. Eliza Duncan, who died early yesterday afternoon in her home on Fremont avenue, will be held Friday afternoon at 2:30 in the chapel in the Davis funeral home. Rev. Eldon W. Wenzel, pastor of the Federated church will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery. The body was taken from the Davis funeral home to her home in 623 Fremont avenue and will remain there until Friday morning at 10:30, when it will be returned to the funeral chapel for services. Rites Today for Mrs. Eliza Duncan Mrs. Eliza Duncan, a resident of Morris for many years, who died in her home on Fremont avenue Wednesday, was buried in Evergreen cemetery this afternoon at 2 o'clock. Services were held in the chapel in the Davis funeral home, conducted by Rev. Eldon Wenzel of the Federated church. Mrs. H. O. Torrence sang, accompanied by Miss Luella Hanson. The pallbearers were McInzie Telfer, Gideon Telfer, William Telfer, Ernest Telfer, John H. Telfer and William Kausch. At Duncan Rites Those from out-of-town who attended funeral services here Friday afternoon for Mrs. Eliza Duncan were Mrs. Frank Delaby, Walter Delaby and daughter, Margaret, Mrs. Will Penning, Mr. and Mrs. Alex Watson and son, MacKenzie Telfer and Mrs. Elmy Schiefer of Chicago; George Sword of Joliet; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Wrenn, Mrs. John Corrie and Miss Grace Humble of La Grange and Gus Ohlendorf of Dwight.
