Her body was taken to the Hoganson funeral home where friends may call. Services will be held in the funeral home Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. and at 2 p.m. in Grace Lutheran church. Burial will be in Saratoga cemetery. The Revs. N. W. Stoa and Allen Blegen will officiate. Stena Maland was born in Etna, Norway, Aug 25, 1868, a daughter of Tollef and Gertrude Maland and the family came to the United States in 1882 and settled near Morris and she has lived here ever since except for eight months spent in Triumph, Minn. She was married to Gilbert Estensen, Feb 10, 1898 and he preceeded her in death Oct 19, 1931. She leaves a son, Theodore, with whom she lived when death came, also a brother, B. T. Maland, of Morris. A grandson, Glen Estensen and four nieces and nephews. Her parents, and two sisters, Mrs. Carrie Anderson and Miss Betsy Maland of here and a brother Torgus Maland in Norway. She was a member of Grace Lutheran church for 66 years and the oldest confirmed member living at the time of her death.
