He had been one of the well known characters in Morris since 1861 when he came here from Baltimore. He was an expert at his trade and a connoisseur in the judging of tobacco. He quit the business of cigar making about ten years ago and has done no work since. He was about 70 years of age. He leaves a wife and two daughters in Morris, Misses Alma and Elizabeth. The body was brought to the Davis undertaking parlors and burial took place this afternoon at 4 o'clock in Evergreen cemetery, Rev. J. H. McArthur offering a short service at the grave.
