Deceased was born near Edinburgh, Scotland, May 13th, 1839. She was taken ill with paralysis, December 13th, 1886, of which doubts were then given for her recovery; but with careful nursing and patience she recovered so far as to be able to perform her regular household duties again and appeared to be in much better health than for a long time and seemed to be in excellent spirits until one hour of her death, when she took a fainting spell of which she never recovered. Being of a gentle, loving, quiet disposition, ever ready to lend a helping hand when called upon, she has left a vacant place in the hearts of many which will never be forgotten, among which are her mother, Mrs. James Telfer, whose sole comfort she was, her only daughter and child, Maggie Gray- Blair and brother John Telfer and nieces and nephews and many other relatives to mourn their sad loss.
