P. Hazelton All that was mortal of Mrs. Hannah Hazelton were laid away in their last resting place on Thursday afternoon of this week, in the presence of weeping husband and children and a large concourse of sympathizing friends. Deceased was born in Rochester, N. Y., March 10, 1825, and was 63 years and 16 days old. She was married to Mr. C. P. Hazelton in Milwaukee. After residing in Milwaukee several years they moved to Wilmington, Ill., where they remained until 1870, when they came to Morris, where she continued to reside until her death. Last Saturday she complained of being ill, but the terrible closing of that illness was far from the thoughts of her family. Sunday that illness assumed a dangerous phase; physicians were unremitting in their attention to her; loving husband and devoted children used every effort in their power to retain the now dying love one; all, however, was unavailing, for at 9:40 Monday night the vital spark had fled, and wife, mother - the most sacred and sweetest word in any vocabulary - was cold in death. She was a lady who invariably won the love and respect of all who knew her. Her living children were all present at the last rites. They are Mrs. Sarah Mateer, Lincoln, Neb.; Mrs. J. W. Walker, Gilmore, Neb.; Martin, of Omaha, Neb.; Henry of Freeport, Ill.; Miss Bertha, Will and Gussie of Morris; Mrs. Wm. McDonald, La Salle, Ill. The funeral took place from the M. E. church, of which she was a member. Her ailment was congestion of the brain.
