Morris Herald July 31, 1917
Mrs. J. D Hill, 89, of Liberty St. passed away after illness. Margaretta Glen 
was born Sept. 26, 1827 Fredricksberg, Germany. Her parents went to Ohio when 
she was a child. There she married David Nichols, they had two children, Fred 
and Belle. After the death of Mr. Nichols, Margaretta married J. D. Hill. The 
family moved to Grundy Co., IL in 1868 J. D. and Margaretta had a son Homer D. 
Hill who preceded his parents in death. Surviving is Fred Nichols. Burial will 
be at the Sample Cemetery.
