W. Huston, on Chapin street. Up to two years ago she retained all of her faculties, but since that time she had been an invalid, and for the past few months under the care of a nurse. Decedent's name was Mary Jane Enos. She was the daughter of David and Mary Judson Enos and was born in New Lebanon, New York, October 29, 1815. She was married to Charles Huston, January 1, 1855, at West Eaton, N. Y., where they resided a short time. In 1839 they came to Illinois, settling near Newark, where they resided for one year. They then moved to Old Mazon. At that time there was no bridge across the river here and they had to ford. The roads were so bad that Mrs. Huston rode on horseback. Only three families lived in Mazon when they moved there. Mr. and Mrs. Huston came to Morris to reside in 1887, after the death of the wife of their son, D. C. They kept house for him and Mrs. Huston had the rearing of his four children. Decedent's husband died January 15, 1892. For a little over six years she resided with her other son here, Judge Huston. She was the mother of nine children, five of whom died in infancy. The survivors are Charles E., of Vancouver, Wash.; Mary A. Brown, of Armour, South Dakota; Dewitt C. and George W. Huston, of Morris. Decedent was a devout Christian and was never heard to make an unkind remark about anyone. She attended church regularly until she became to feeble. She was a member of the Baptist church. The funeral will take place Sunday afternoon, with services at the home at 2 o'clock. Rev. Charles Henry, pastor of the Baptist church, will officiate.
