Died In this city on Monday, June 9, 1879, Jacob B. Lutz.

Deceased was born in Westernburg, Germany, Jan. 27, 1812, and came to America 
in 1854, making his first stop at Cleveland, Ohio, where he resided a short 
time, thence coming west and for a few years residing in Chicago. Later he 
came to Minooka, where he resided until about 12 years ago, when he settled in 
Morris. His disease was consumption. He leaves a wife and three children, a 
son Mr. Jacob C. Lutz of Gardner and one of the daughters being the wife of 
Alderman Fey of this city. The funeral took place from the German Lutheran 
church of this city on last Tuesday afternoon. A number of his former 
neighbors from Minooka came here to attend the funeral.
