On November 6 Mrs. Murnan fell at her home just as she had reached the foot of the stairs leading from the upper floor and broke her hip. She was recovering from the effects of the fall when she had a stroke of paralysis, on January 9, and since then had not regained consciousness. It is thought that at the time of her fall she had a slight stroke of paralysis. Mary O'Hale, daughter of Charles and Catherine Duffin-O'Hale, was born at Napanee, Canada, September 15, 1836. When a small infant the family moved to Ohio, where they lived until August 15, 1846, when they came to Morris. The deceased grew to womanhood in Morris and on September 19, 1867, she was married to Thomas Murnan, who died August 21, 1901, leaving his widow and two daughters, Mary and Katherine, who have since been with their mother. She leaves beside the two daughters, one brother, Edward O'Hale, of California. Mrs. Martin Hynds, of Morris, who died a few years ago, was a sister. Mrs. Murnan's long residence in Morris made her familiar with history of early days and she was an interesting talker of old scenes and times in Morris. When she was married the ceremony was performed in the old Catholic church, a building long since forgotten. She was one of the first pupils of St. Angela's academy and took an active interest in the celebration of the fiftieth anniversary of the academy, which was reached in the year 1908. The funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Catholic church. Burial will be at Mt. Carmel cemetery. Requiem mass will be said at 7 o'clock Monday morning.
