Pattison - At her residence, in the town of Wauponsee, on Saturday, March 21, 
1886, Jennie, wife of Joseph H. Pattison, aged 43 years, 4 months, 20 days.

Jennie Struble was born near Newton, New Jersey, October 20, 1839. In the year 
1865, accommpanied by her parents, she came to this place and resided in the 
town of Wauponsee, where she formed the acquaintance of Mr. Pattison to whom 
she was married, in Morris, by the late Rev. John Frame, on the 17th of 
December, 1867. To the union thus formed three children were born, girls, now 
aged fifteen, seven and five years, respectively. Mrs. Pattison was a quiet, 
retired woman, devoted to her home and family. Never very strong, for the past 
year she had been in poor health, and for the past seven months had been a 
great sufferer. One week before her death she was supposed to be getting 
better, but this was only the beginning of the end. Complications set in, and 
death resulted from peritonitus.

The funeral took place from the late residence on last Sabbath afternoon, Rev. 
Corwin, of the Congregational church, officiating. A large concourse of people 
were present who mingled their tears of sorrow with the grief stricken husband 
and father; to do all that was possible to asauge the grief that had come upon 
that family, the pangs of which will ever be with them.

A kind and loving wife and mother has been taken away; a noble, generous 
Christian woman has entered into the fulness of her reward beyond. Peace to 
her ashes.
