Joshua Pike, a resident of this county for thirty years, died at his home on 
E. Main street Saturday night at 10 o'clock; aged 78 years, 9 months and 11 
days. He had not been blessed with good health for several months, and 
catching cold two weeks ago pneumonia set in, which was the direct cause of 
his death. He leaves two sons, Marshall B., of this city, and Edgar W., of 
Salina, Kas. The funeral was held Monday afternoon, Rev. W. A. Phillips 
officiating.
