Deceased was born in Monroe county, New York, and had she lived would have been sixty-five years old next September. She had resided in Grundy county for twenty-six years. She was the mother of nine girls, five of whom are living, to wit: Mrs. F.B. White, of Kempton; Mrs. Levi Whipple, Mrs. George Hunt, Mrs. J. W. McKindley and Miss Kate, all of Morris. Her husband, Chas. Stone, died six years ago last fall in California, where he was sojourning for his health. Mrs. Stone had always been an energetic, hard-working woman, endowed with a strong constitution, but the cares of life finally made their impression, and disease of the heart became manifest. Some six or eight weeks ago she was taken down, but through the skill of her physician found relief from her malady for a few weeks, after which she was again taken down and for the past four weeks her life has hovered between the earth and the mysterious beyond until Wednesday morning when life took its flight, Mrs. Stone was for many years a member of the Methodist church. The funeral will take place from her late residence on Main street, at 1 o'clock Friday afternoon, conducted by Rev. W. A. Phillips.
