In the spring of 1887 Alfred Waters moved to Dwight from this city, but his 
health continued to grow worse and he moved to Abilene, Kas., in hopes of 
bettering it, but it continued to grow worse and about four weeks ago he 
returned to Morris to die among near and dear relatives, death relieving him 
of suffering at 10:30 last Monday morning. Deceased was about 26 years of age 
and had lived in or near Morris all his life save during the absence aboved 
stated. He leaves a wife and and child, his mother and brothers and sisters to 
mourn the loss of a young man who had no enemies and whose friends were many. 
The funeral took place from the ME church last Wednesday at 2 o'clock, and his 
remains were deposited by the side of his father's, the late James Waters.
