ADELINE FLANNIGAN. At the early dawn of morning Tuesday, June 24, 1930, after many months of intense suffering, Mrs. Adeline fell asleep in Jesus. She was the daughter of Samuel and Nancy Richardson, born in Hamilton County Nov 10, 1870; departed this life June 24 at her home in this city, aged 59 years, 7 months and 14 days. She was united in marriage to John P. Flannigan and to this happy union was born 4 sons, namely: Earl of Marion, Ind., Willard of Chester, Wallace of Marion. Ind., and Arthur of Florence Colc. She professed faith in Christ early in life and united with Braden valley General Baptist church and lived a faithful member until death. Her life was a life of service. Greater love had no mother for her family than she, and in her passing, the family, church and her many friends suffer–our loss is her gain. She has gone from labor to reward. Funeral services were held at the first Baptist church in this city, Thursday, June 26th, conducted by D.H. Knight and John B. Maulding. Interment in the I.O.O.F. cemetery (another article reads) Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon for Mrs. Adeline Flannigan, who passed away Monday night at her home on South Hancock St. She had been in ill health for several years, suffering with cancer and had been confined to her bed for several months. Deceased was 59 years of age and the wife of J.P. Flannigan. Most of her life was spent in this county, having moved to Mcleansboro from near Olga.
