Dr. John BARNETT, a former residient of this city, passed away at his home in New Haven, Illinois, last Wednesday evening, May 11, 1927, as a result of a paralytic stroke. He was 60 years of age at the time of his death. Dr. Barnett had practiced medicine in New Haven for thirty years, and was held in high esteem by the entire community in which he lived. He is survived by his widow and one son, John, at home, one daughter,Louise, who is attending school in this city; his mother, Mrs. J.T. Barnett, one brother, William Barnett, three sisters, Mrs. Fred Edick, Mrs. T.D. Martin of McLeansboro; and Mrs. Bert Echols of Danville.
