Samuel E. FLANNIGAN, son of James H. And mary O. Flannigan, was born in
Hamilton county, Illinois, June 27, 1874; departed this life April 7,
1929, Age 54 years, 2 months and 19 days.
    He spent the early part of his life near the place of birth, but the
last years of his life he spent in California and other western states.
He was a man that was ever ready to help those in need.  He had been
afflicted for serveral months but bore the same with patience.
    He leaves to mourn his passing two brothers, Wm. D. Flannigan of
Benton, and John P. Flannigan of Mcleansboro, besides a large number of
other relatives and friends.
    Funeral services were held at Little Springs April 9, conducted by D.H.
Knight.
