In November 1917 she was married to James Crumley and has since made her home in Detroit with her husband. When very young she united with the Missionary Baptist Church of McLeansboro. On January 25, last she was converted and has since professed a Christian faith in the Lord. The many friends who visited her while she was sick heard her testimony which was wonderful unto the last. She leaves her husband, her father and mother, six sisters and four brothers. The sisters are Mrs. Carrie Dickinson, of Mt. Vernon, Ill., Mrs. Minnie Claybourgh of Detroit, Mich., Mrs. Alma York of McLeansboro, Mrs. Dora Lynn of McLeansboro, Mrs. Viola Strab of Evansville, Ind., and Pearlie Mayberry of McLeansboro. The brothers are Alvin, Charlie and William of McLeansboro and Joe Mayberry of Mt. Vernon, Ill. Besides these who are very sad because of her death she leaves many friends who sorrow with the family. Lizzie had been ill for some time of tuberculosis and was in Denver, Colo., a few weeks ago when her condition became so serious that she came to the home of her parents in McLeansboro where she passed away last Sunday afternoon. She was perfectly resigned to the will of God. Without the sign of a tear she stepped into the great beyond from which no traveler has ever returned. In a very calm and thotful manner she planned her own funeral arrangements. She seemed to be getting ready for a little journey and was careful in her preparations to go. Funeral services held from home of her parents by Rev. W. E. Bennett, assisted Revs. Bratton and Ratley. The body was laid to rest in the Odd Fellows cemetery. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ USGENWEB NOTICE: These electronic pages may NOT be reproduced in any format for profit or presentation by other organizations or persons.
