McNabb, son of Howard and Eliza McNabb was born Nov. 2, 1853 in Menard county, Ill.; departed this life in St. John's Hospital at Springfield, Ill., Jan. 9, 1924. He was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian church from early childhood. He was married to Fannie Jane Lockett October 24, 1875 and to this union were born eight children, seven of whom survive him. One daughter, Eliza died at the age of five years. His companion died October 15, 1898. The surviving children are J. H., of Englewood, N. J.; E. E., of Zeigler, Ill.; H. A., of St. Albans, W. Va.; Mrs. Robert Winder, of Mt. Vernon, Ill.; Mrs. M. T. Cocke, of McLeansboro, Ill.; Mrs. R. F. Ore, of Mt. Vernon, Ill.; Mrs. Thos. Cullins and one sister, Mrs. Mary Lynch, of Petersburg, Ill. and 12 grandchildren. Funeral conducted by W. D. Richardson at Methodist church Friday, Jan. 10, at 1:00 p.m. Interment in Odd Fellows Cemetery. Additional Comments: Lockett is a mistake. His wife's maiden name was Tackett.
