Alice E. STANDERFER, daughter of David and Katherine Deitz, was born April 9, 1864, and departed this life April 5, 1926, at the age of 61 years, 11 months and 26 days. She professed faith in Christ about the year 1881, and united with the Blooming Grove Baptist Church, later moving her membership to the Delafield Baptist Church where she remained a loyal member until death. She was united in marriage to Samual C. Standerfer Feb. 1, 1887, and to this union one child was born, Lura C. Daily, with whom she has made her home for the last several years. She leaves to mourn their loss, one daughter, three grandchildren, two brothers, Norris anti Rufus Deitz, two sisters, Lillie and Flora, and many other relatives and friends, who will greatly miss her. She bore her sufferings long, but without complaint. Her going will be greatly missed by all who knew her, but we find consolation in the language of the Book, "Blessed are the dead that die in the Lord and from henceforth yea saith the spirit they do rest from their labors, and their works do follow them." Funeral services were conducted at Delafield Tuesday, April 6, by Rev. John B. Maulding, assisted by Elders C. F. and J. D. Hooker. Interment at Blooming Grove cemetery. (Another article reads) Surviving her husband less than one month, Mrs. Alice C. Standerfer, widow of Samuel Standerfer, died last night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Willie Daily, a mile southeast of Delafield. The husband died very suddenly and unexpectedly March 10, having gone to the barn to feed his stock, when he was stricken with heart trouble which caused his death. Mrs. Standerter was seriously sick at the time, having confined to her bed several days. Mr. and Mrs. Standerfer made their home with their daughter.
