Telitha WEBB, a daughter of Casey and Sarah Jane Lasater, was born in Hamilton County, Illinois, on December 12, 1869, and departed this life at her home near McLeansboro, Ill., On Feb. 20, 1931, aged 61 years, 2 months and 8 days. She was united in marriage with Charles W. Webb on March 24, 1889, with whom she lived happily until her death. To this union were born eight children, namely: Mrs. Grace Matheny, who departed this life Oct. 1, 1918, Augustus D., Mrs. Mary Bennett, Mrs. Geneva Martin, Wesley, Morris, Eugene, and Isabelle, who departed this life May 25, 1915. Mrs. Webb was converted and united with the M.E. Church at Hopewell in 1890,later moving her membership to the M.E. Church at Walpole. She was never united with any other church until she united with church triumphant around the throne of God. Mrs. Webb was a good companion, a true mother,and a good neighbor, and was so kind and genial that she won many friends wherever she lived. She leaves to mourn her going, her companion , six children ,four grandchildren, Lois Jane and Betty Jean Martin, Charles Robert and Richard Augustus Webb, (one grandson, James Russell Webb, died Aug 4, 1930), and many other relatives and friends as was evidenced by the large crowd that attended the funeral Sunday, Feb. 22, at the M.E. Church in McLeansboro, which was filled to capacity. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. C.M. Prince in the presence of a large crowd and a very beautiful floral offering. We laid her body to rest in the Odd Fellows Cemetery at McLeansboro.
