Images Only Written: August 1873 Recorded: October 1873 Record of Last Will and Testament of John Call, Decd In the name of God Amen, I , John Call, of Rectorville Post Office in the County of Hamilton and State of Illinois of the age of seventy-one years and being of sound mind and memory do make publish and declare this my last will and testament in manner following – that is to say First I give and bequeath my wife, Dasia Call, all of my property consisting of horses, hogs, sheep, cattle, farming ___________ mechanics tools, wagon, all ___ rest ____ and remainder of my personal estate goods and remainder of my personal estate goods and challets of what nature or kind serves with the exception here in after named to be accepted and receive by her in lieu of __________ to my daughter, Sarah Ann Galey, one red and white ____ cow commonly called Fila. To my son Joel one by mare mule commonly called Jinny. To my daughter Nancy F. Call the sum of one dollar To my son John Call the sum of one dollar Second that the above be carried out by my executor whom I will now appoint and that he pay my funeral expenses and all past demands against me. Third, I hereby appoint my son John Call my sole executor of this my Last will and testament herby revoking all former wills by me made and that he be allowed to carry this my last will into ________ without bond or security. On witness whereof I have ____ my hand and seal this 25th day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy-three. John (his mark) Call (Seal) the above instrument consisting of one sheet was at the date thereby signed sealed published and ordered by the said John Call as and for his Last Will and testament in presence of us who at his request and in his presence and in the presence of each other have subscribed my names as witnesses thereto. Reason D. Roberts – residing in Rectorville P.O. Hamilton Co W.B.W. Allen – residing in Rectorville P.O. Hamilton Co State of Illinois, Hamilton County In county court of said county in Probate Oct Term AD 1873, personally appeared in open court Reason D. Roberts and William B.W. Allen subscribing witnesses to the foregoing instrument of writing purporting to be the Last will and testament of John Call, late of Hamilton County deceased, who being duly sworn according to law do depose and say each for himself that the foregoing is the last will and testament of the Said John Call deceased that they subscribe their names thereto and attesting witnesses at the request of the Said testator and in his presence and in the presence of each other on the 25th day of August A.D. 1873 that he then and there subscribed his names there to in our presence and (crossed out --- in our presence--) And declared the same to be his Last Will and Testaments and that said testator at the time of executing the same as aforesaid was of full age of sound mind and memory and under no constraint so said testator subscribed his name by mark.
