McFarlan Name of Newspaper: Hardin County Independent Date of Newspaper: 11 April 1929 Anna L. McFarlan departed this life April 4, 1929. She was the daughter of "Bink" and "Dink" Virginia Madden, granddaughter of John T. Madden and Dr. McGinnis. She was born in Hardin County all were well known at one time in Hardin County. She endeared herself to all who knew her by her patient, self-sacrificing qualities. To the writer she was as a sister, having been closely associated for twenty years. She leaves a mother, husband, son, sisters, brother and aunt to mourn. Her last visit to Elizabethtown last summer she spent with her Aunt Lily Lee; at that time she was much improved in health but suffered a stroke of paralysis some weeks ago from which she never fully recovered.
