Obituary of Charles B Smith, Hardin County, Illinois Contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives Copyright 2000 Wanda Reed Charles B. Smith, aged 70, suffered a heart attack and died at his home in Rosiclare Sunday night. Funeral services for him were held Tuesday afternoon. Mr. Smith had been on active duty the last days of his life, working as a custodian of the bath-house for the Aluminum Ore Co. He is survived by his widow, a son Houston of Riverside, CA, their three daughters, Mrs. Carmen Henson, Mrs Leta Sweat, Elizabethtown and Mrs. Ruth Bonnell, Rosiclare; a sister Claudia near Spokane, Wasaington and brother Roscoe of Riverside, CA. He was a member of the Sycamore Church. He had been married to Nancy M. Carmon on July 10, 1897. He was the son of James and Anna F. Smith and was born in Pope County April 20, 1878.
