Obituary for Dora Oxford, Hardin County, Illinois After an illness of more then a year, Mrs Dora Oxford, wife of Walter Oxford, died at her home in Roisiclare, early Friday morning at the age of 70 years. Her death was caused by creeping paralysis. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Anna Oxford and was a native of Hardin County. With her husband she moved to Rosiclare about five years ago from the former Judge Hall property, in Rock Creek neighborhood. She had lived in Hardin County all of her life with the exception of a few years in Gallatin County. She and Mr. Oxford had been married for more than 40 years. Survivors includes four sons, Roy Oxford, Herod, Raymond, Keeling Hill, Robbie, Karbers Ridge, daughter Mrs. Ruby Williams, Harrisburg. Several grandchildren and three sisters, Mrs Otto Hill, and Mrs. Ab Edwards of Cave- in-Rock, and Mrs Belva Ginger of Eldorado, one brother Lucian Oxford, Carmi. The funeral was held at Rock Creek Church Sunday after-noon with the Owen Funeral Home in charge. Her brother-in-law, Rev. M.F. Oxford and pastor William Ferrell both officiated. Music was furnished by the Levee Pond Quartette. Interment was made in Hall cemetery, in the Yellow Springs neighbor-hood. All of her children and all of her sisters were present at the funeral. Her brother was unable to attend.
